Nancy was an avid volunteer for many of her favorite causes:
- Red Cross
- Hubert Humphrey and McGovern campaigns.
- Sunland Residential Facility for the Mentally Retarded.
- Classroom volunteer in Tallahassee schools.
- MENSA kids group (working with gifted children).
